Bomaderry Creek…

by on May.07, 2011, under Life, Photography

My daughters and I with cameras in hand went for some walks along the bushwalking trails that follow Bomaderry creek (near Nowra on the NSW South Coast). It is a very beautiful area and well worth the time to walk there (very good walking trails exist) and my girls loved the exploring – we were also lucky to have some water flowing there which enabled me to take some longish exposures for the water.

Easter in the Shoalhaven – River Sunrise…

by on May.02, 2011, under Life, Photography

In continuation of our Easter spent at the Shoalhaven, not content with just a sunset over the river and inspired by the awesome cloudwork and colour from the previous evening we braved the early morning and tried our luck for a sunrise as well. Unfortunately the weather was not so kind the following morning with quite a bit of cloud cover and only a very short window of opportunity for colour. My daughter and I took what we had however and our best results were as follows.

I stuck with the 3 stop Lee GND but this time switched to a longer lens for some more detailed views…

Note: These images (especially the wider shots) look much better when larger – so click any of the images below to see larger versions in an inline overlay gallery viewer.
