Zugspitzeplatt…

To the south of the peak in the valley below lies the Ski resort of Zugspitzeplatt (the highest in Germany with 20km of pistes on the glacier). It’s also where the cog train ends (had we stayed on that rather than switch to the much faster cable car to reach the peak).

We took the short cable car ride from the top down to the resort so the girls could go out and play in the snow (and make their first ever snowman :)).

Then it was on the cable car back to the peak so we could catch the new Seilbahn Zugspitze back down on the other side to begin our return back to Munich.
