Pixar

NIKON Z 7 + Sigma 15.0 mm f/2.8 FishEye @ 15 mm @ 15 mm, 1/15 sec at f/4, ISO 1600

Another sneak peek at some of what is on offer in the city at Vivid Sydney this year

This projection installation in the Argyle cut tunnel in The Rocks is titled “Pixar: 30 Years of Art & Animation”

It is a special project designed specifically for Vivid Sydney. It takes audiences on a visual journey through Pixar Animation Studios’ creative process. Showing you stunning projections of images from the early stages of a film’s development to the finished product. The installation showcases a variety of art forms including pencil drawings, acrylic paintings, watercolours, digital paintings and final film frames

“Kids” of any age are going to love this

One note of caution. The projection area is enormous and the content is very fast paced and moves and changes rapidly. It’s like the biggest movie screen you’ve ever seen plastered right in front of your face

These images were taken using my 15mm fisheye lens. Which has a greater than 180 degree field of view and it still can’t quite fit the entire roof space in

If you’re here near the middle looking up it completely covers your entire visual field of view. Therefore I’d suggest just lying down on the ground and looking up for best enjoyment 🙂

Vivid Sydney starts this evening Friday the 24th of May and runs till the 15th of June
