This trippy light installation by Michael Hayden is called “Sky’s the Limit”. It is in the tunnel connecting concourses B and C of Terminal 1 of the Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport

A series of moving walkways connect underneath 250 metres of rainbow neon tubes that light up and reflect off overhead mirrors

We were leaving Chicago today (heading to New York) and I’d read about this installation at the airport. Since we had a little time I made a beeline to photograph it

Dragging the shutter quite a bit (half a second) to slightly blur the travellers I was relying on good handheld technique along with the Z7’s inbuilt image stabilisation to render a nice sharp image of the scene
