Shoalhaven

by on Dec.15, 2021, under Photography

Back to my home town for a quick trip with my youngest daughter

This 180˚ panorama looks right down the middle of the (very muddy looking) Shoalhaven River towards the bridge(s) with Pig Island and Coolangatta mountain in the distance. The river was looking particularly muddy this time (it’s normally quite clean/clear). I presume the very heavy rains over the past few weeks is to blame. With lots of mud and silt being washed into the river. Nearby Bomaderry creek (which feeds into this river) was also particularly brown

They are building a new four lane (northbound) bridge crossing the river. The old (new) bridge will be three lanes southbound and the old old original steel framed bridge will be for bikes and pedestrians
