On our way towards Arthurs Pass to eventually head over the mountains to the west coast

We stopped at Castle Hill (also known as Kura Tawhiti by the indigenous Maori Tribe)

The hill was so named because of the imposing array of limestone boulders and monoliths in the area reminiscent of an old, run-down stone castle
