Viewing the Empire State

In my wandering around central Manhattan I came across the New York Public Library. It was a place I’d meant to come and photograph anyway so since I was here…

This view from within one of the libraries many rooms framed the Empire State building nicely in their arched windows

It’s actually kinda difficult to get a good shot of the Empire State building from the ground. Even more so to do it in some more unique way. I hadn’t seen this particular view online before so here’s my rendition of the famous building

Below a tighter view of the landmark building

Stained

by on Dec.26, 2019, under Life, Photography

Saint Thomas Church on Fifth Avenue was pretty packed so getting any photographs without crowds of people in the images is well… impossible

So sometimes the solution is simply to look up… Admiring those high cathedral ceilings and the intricate details

Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue

by on Dec.25, 2019, under Life, Photography

Located at the corner of 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue in New York is the very lovely Saint Thomas Church

We had visited the church when we were here five years ago. However it was under major renovations at the time and pretty much the entire interior had scaffolding from floor to ceiling

Now however it was complete and quite stunning
