A nice bit of foreground interest for me in Milford Sound. And a nice way to cap off an evenings shoot with a natural long exposure late in twilight

Lost in Time

We took the early morning cruise out on Milford Sound (which isn’t a sound BTW) with Mitre Peak Cruises

Lots of cloud and mist about the day of our cruise which gave a great middle earth, lost in time feel. Thankfully however very little rain

We chose this cruise company (there are over half a dozen different companies that all work out of the same docks) for a couple of reasons

• it uses smaller boats (so less crowded and the boats can get in closer to shore and underneath the waterfalls, etc)
• it has an early morning cruise (8:45AM start) (conditions may be better than the middle of the day)
