Alyssa’s Tree – Take 2

by on Sep.07, 2019, under Life, Photography

When I was here at Ngumban Cliff just over four years ago… I’d tried to shoot a milky way panorama with this awesome lone tree at the lookout

Unfortunately at that time the moon was quite large and out in the sky before sunset. Alas the stars were well and truly washed out (even shooting at relative low ISO in astro shooting terms)

This time the moon wasn’t rising till more than an hour after sunset. This gave me a very short window of time to shoot the stars just after astro twilight ended (an hour after sunset)

This is a seven (7) frame vertical panorama with basically the entire vertical milky way (180˚ horizon to horizon) shown above the tree
