The 46km (45 minute drive) Glenorchy-Queenstown road hugs the edge of Lake Wakatipu and is in a word spectacular. Stupendous even
They say this is one of the top scenic drives in the world and it was easy to see why
We were staying at Twenty Five Mile Creek right on the waters edge. It’s actually 30km (or about 19 miles) from Queenstown so I’m not entirely sure what the 25 miles refers to 🙂
This is a 180Ëš panoramic view taken from out in the middle of the lake looking back along the lakes edge
