This is a new installation/location at this years Vivid Sydney

The HMAS Vampire is docked in front of the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour

I’ve shot this from in the middle of the bank of five protection towers to get some beams coming in from the top and sides to fill some of that empty space above the ship

This projection is more technically complicated than the typical building projection. Besides more tricky detail in the projection surface of the ship. It’s also on water so Technical Direction Company (the company which does the large scale projections) had to also account for things like the tides. So the projections automatically move up and down with the tides as the ship rises and falls over time
